What is the importance of Multicultural Marketing? Well, just looking at the Canadian audience who are multicultural, one can quickly provide any marketer the advice to best reach that audience is by considering the whole audience's diverse identity.
In my own experience of growing up in Canada I never saw much diversity or any real women of colour to relate to in my everyday life. However, todays millennial's in North America are emerging in greater diversity compared to past years and the way they interact with the world is extremely different to teens years ago.
Social Media has done great creating communities and connections between people to represent the greatness and significance of recognizing the beauty of peoples identities.
For instance, looking at the FIFA a world event requires advertising through the multicultural marketing lens. Thus businesses like Ford embraced this by creating an interactive page having people choose three of their most favoured teams to create their special individual t-shirt representing them and their love for the FIFA games. The t-shirt making website can be found here http://camisetronford.com . A clever and great way to include everyone in the fun!

Multicultural Jamz!
I believe the best way to understand the world of multiculturalism of today is done through art, film and music. Especially through artists like TALA who spoke with Buzzfeed about how the diverse cultures of her own family and growing up in London brought about a natural synergy between the West and Middle East into her music which was her identity.
Mixing and melding cultures can be a beautiful thing as each great aspect presents inspiring beauty and truth that connects everyone. It is funny to think as a child the thought of my western friends hearing the sounds Bollywood songs beating through the cracks of my families walls burdened me with sheer embarrassment. Yet, today artists like the inspiring MIA brings people from everywhere to dance happily to the sounds of Bollywood, traditional indian instruments, and other wonderful sounds of the world.
It is truly fantastic what is going on in music today bringing the world to a lovelier, innovative, and beautiful place.

Understanding Google Analytics
Terms
like metric and dimension makes trying to understand Google Analytics overwhelming. While going
through the lectures and reading over the definitions of terms I learned
the great importance that metrics and dimensions play in your
Analytics as individual elements and ones that can be studied
together.
Metrics
the measure within my blogging experience is the sum of traffic of people
to my blog that can help me identify what my readers are interested in.
The
role dimensions plays is the describing one such as how much time one spends on
a page, and where the people are from that are interested in my blog.
I believe with these tools at hand I will learn
how to better target and meet my consumer needs.

Adventures in Co-op
If you enjoyed my post about my inspiring co-op term go and, check out these extraordinary ladies stories where Lauren was working with the 'Pinball' Clemons Foundation.
Why not venture next to Miss Alison Seto's tour into the financial world at Richardson GMP along with her co-pilot Stephanie Sasse.
Wondering what it would be like working in the beauty industry, get the low down with Miss Aprile.
Take flight with Melike Eren on her journey at her co-op at a language institute located deep in the downtown Toronto core.

How my co-op help define my career path
For the last four months I had the wonderful experience of
having a co-op as a partnership intern at the City of Toronto's Office of
Partnerships. There I was provided an open learning environment and
opportunities of working toe to toe with my superiors at work, as well as
having my voice heard in meetings and actually making an impact at my
workplace.
At the city I realized there was a large audience of
businesses, communities, organizations, and individuals that needed to be
deeply considered in every action and decision made especially in a way that
was sensitive to one’s identity. In helping people and organizations becoming
deeply aware through research and direct communication was the only way to make
formidable impacts through city wide events, and programs. My superiors taught
me through prudent dialogue, and pragmatic questioning were the necessary steps
to reach the people we wanted to help and gain results.
For instance recognizing communities for their diversity and
bringing them together at the same time is a challenge because,
multiculturalism displays differences that we celebrate yet, there is a strong
need to celebrate the similarities these communities have. The program Recipe for Community in association with Toronto Community Foundation had provided me the chance to meet and
interview the residents, the planning of their community celebrations, and help craft the recipe book with
their stories that connected everyone. The program brings neighbourhoods together through food,
as well outdoor beautification, and other activities to get people outside and
becoming one.
It was more than a work term for me, it was a chance to get
to know the City of Toronto on a deeper level and realize my career aspirations
of working with company partnerships and the community at large. I learned each
and everyone has a story and those stories are powerful in unifying everyone.
